Newsworks has a story about a beautiful scene in Cherry Hill in the upcoming weeks:
From Apr. 15 through Apr. 30, the 1472 cherry trees that line Chapel Ave. between Haddonfield Rd. and Kings Highway will again put on a gorgeous show of color to announce Nature’s rebirth.
But a sea of delicate petals won’t be the only thing passersby will notice. Scores of American flags and yellow ribbons will adorn the array of trees. It’s a special tribute to both military personnel and those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
The patriotic remembrance, presented by Cherry Hill’s Firefighters and American Legion Post 372, has been an annual event for nine years.
If you have the time, take a moment and go out of your way to see the Cherry Blossoms, flags and yellow ribbons. You won’t be sorry.
