Preceding the official Jan. 31 start of the Year of the Horse, the event seeks to inform and entertain
, regaling attendees with lectures, Chinese storytelling and lessons on calligraphy and the Chinese language.
If nothing else, catch the grand finale at 3:45 pm. when drummers and dancers ring in the New Year with the lion dance, which is said to bring good luck and ward evil for the year ahead.
