Just one of these amazing events is coming up soon: The Beautiful Birds, Butterflies, & Cinco de Mayo Festival, taking place on May 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., is an opportunity to learn about the importance of butterflies in Mexican culture. Along with taking flight with monarchs, hands-on activities include learning about plants that attract butterflies and birds to your garden. You’ll even have the opportunity to take a plant home with you! Nearby is the Adventure Aquarium, which was named among the best aquariums in the United States in 2013 by the Travel Channel.

In Haddonfield, discover where the world’s first nearly complete dinosaur skeleton,Hadrosaurus Foulkii, was excavated in the 1800s. Declared a national landmark in 1994, a trip here will reignite your sense of adventure and bring you back to the thrilling prehistoric age. Nearby in Berlin, the lush and family-friendly Miller Farms offers horseback riding, including group tours on horseback with experienced trail guides.

Many of these specialized events celebrate the rebirth of spring and give local residents a chance to come together within their town. In Collingswood, this year’s May Fair will take place on May 28th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In its 37th year, this event will feature local artisans and crafters alongside kid-centered activities including pony rides. Events like these spanning through the summer months speak to the warm flavor and character of these small towns dotted throughout Camden County, which offer outdoor opportunities to enjoy one another.
A similar event will be taking place in nearby Laurel Springs at Laurel Springs Dayon May 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event will similarly allow the community to celebrate co-harmoniously with a classic car show, live music, and a good old-fashioned baseball tournament.
